Advocacy Update: Cow & Calf Care

The mission of ODPA is simple: to serve as a collective voice for Ohio’s dairy farmers to address state and federal issues related to animal care, the environment, GMO labeling, school meals, trade, transportation, energy and taxes that affect Ohio’s dairy farm families.

To support and promote the high-quality care dairy farmers provide for their cows and calves, ODPA:

• Supports Ohio Veterinary Medicine Association and Ohio Dairy Vets in promoting proper drug use on dairy farms through the Food Armor™ Program.
  
  
• Promotes the National Dairy FARM Program™ and its Milk & Dairy Beef Drug Residue Prevention Manual and encourages farmers to work closely with their vets.
  
  
• Encourages dairy farmers to communicate their expectations to their employees by utilizing the See It Stop It campaign
